Laminate Flooring Installation in London

Laminate flooring looks just like real wood, but is a reproduction of the real thing.

The latest manufacturing techniques mean that it’s tough, scratch resistant and long lasting. It’s also very affordable compared to an all-wood product.

It can also be fitted over UFH systems if required, and is an excellent choice for busy spaces such as households with children and pets, or public and commercial venues with a heavy footfall.

It is a low-cost alternative to real hardwood flooring, and benefits from being durable, low maintenance, and easy to clean.

Plus, our experts’ installation process is quick and minimises disruption.

LVT Flooring Installation London

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) combines stylish design with outstanding durability. LVT is highly waterproof, meaning it is well suited to kitchens, bathrooms, and any other areas frequently exposed to moisture. It is also highly  resistant to scratches and dents.

For busy spaces, it is an attractive and practical type of flooring designed to withstand high traffic and activity.

Our Installation Process

Our process starts with a free consultation during which we’ll visit your property to assess the condition of the subfloor, measure the area, and recommend the best fit for your space.

We then prepare the subfloor prior to installation to ensure it’s in the best possible condition to lay your flooring. During this process, we make sure that the space is both clean and level to create the perfect base for your new flooring.

Then our experienced team of London fitters will install your floor, including skirting boards and trims. For this, we use a click-lock system which means no need for glue or nails. When we’re done, we’ll clean up so that your brand new floor is ready to use, with no mess left behind!

Laminate or LVT – what’s right for you?

Laminate flooring is typically best for areas with lower moisture exposure. It is available in a wide range of wood and stone effect designs, so you don’t have to compromise on aesthetics.

LVT however is designed to be waterproof, and has a softer underfoot feel than laminate, lending itself to commercial use.

Both can be compatible with underfloor heating.

If you’re not sure which is the right fit for your space, our London fitting team will advise you during a free consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is laminate flooring suitable for kitchens?

For rooms with frequent exposure to water, LVT is often the better option as it is highly waterproof and easy to clean.

Can laminate flooring and LVT be installed over underfloor heating?

Yes. Many laminate and LVT flooring products are compatible with underfloor heating systems when installed correctly. We’ll recommend suitable products during your consultation.

How long does laminate or LVT flooring last?

With professional installation and proper care, quality laminate flooring can last 15–25 years or more, depending on the product and level of foot traffic.

Which flooring is better for pets?

Both laminate and LVT are durable choices for pet owners. However, LVT is typically more water resistant and is often quieter underfoot, making it particularly suitable for busy households with pets.

Do I need a new subfloor before installation?

In most cases, we can prepare your existing subfloor by cleaning, levelling and repairing it before installing your new flooring but we will advise as part of the consultation process.
